Giant Hypermart in Tasek Rimba yesterday organised and sponsored a cooking competition in conjunction with the 65th birthday celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the Malaysian Product Sales Carnival.

The first session of the cooking competition saw nine participants battling to cook the best ‘soto’ using some basic ingredients and a packet of 1Malaysia product.

The second session will take place on July 23 where the top six participants from each of the two sessions will be selected to enter the final round.

The final round will take place during the closing ceremony on July 30 and will be attended by the Chairman of Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), Malaysia, Dato Paduka Badrudin Amirudin and the Malaysian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam, Dato Abdullah Sani Omar.

Meanwhile at 8am today, members of the public are invited to participate in the ‘Nerf Challenge’ in the vicinity of Giant Hypermart, Tasek Rimba.
